I have been carving since about 2006. I became a dealer in 2007. I taught myself incorrectly after purchasing a youth model Trikke off the Internet. Trikke school with Gildo and Fred set me straight! I am an alpine skier, cross crounty skier and snowboarder. I love the motion and rhythm of the body carving vehicles. I use an electric Hybrid for local errands and am responsible for getting the SKKI Trikke approved in the state of Michigan. I had a bone replaced in my foot in October of 2008. By the end of that month I was back on my BPV and 30 days latter with our first snow, I was rocking the SKKI. I have completed Nastar races locally and am asked when I enter NOT to embarrass the local instructors with MY cool SKKI tool. I hope the SKKI takes off in this state as well as others! I am a former aerobics instructor, and general fitness enthusiast. I serve on a number of local boards but most people in this area know me because I started a free laundry program for low-income people living in poverty. I am an I.T. Manager who can spend too much time behind a computer.. I have an injury to my left knee where I dislocated it while skating, and it has bothered me to do much biking, skating, or running since. When I saw the infomercial in 2008, I decided that it looked fun and low impact and bought one… I did not jump right on and go over hills, but within 2 weeks, I felt pretty good on it. It was a blast, and I was getting a great workout on local bike trails, and it did not bother the knee at all! I lost nearly 40 pounds and I am staying in much better shape now due to the Trikke. - I have made many new friends through the Trikke Community. One friend, Gary let me know about the Trikke Academy coming to Chicago in 2009, so I jumped at the chance to attend that along with him, and became a certified Trainer. - In addition to offering training, I can now sell Trikkes and I am always happy to give demos and answer questions. My website is a meetup group which I help to run, where I work with other trainers in Michigan to sponsor some fun group rides and events around the state to promote health & fitness using carving vehicles. Dan is a full-time law enforcement officer. Leaving law enforcement, after 10 years, Dan spent the next 5 years as a Youth / Adult Pastor. After 4 successful years in this equally challenging field, he and his wife of 23 years, had twin daughters. It was at this point that Dan decided to be a stay-at-home father, for a season, and began building internet businesses/websites with a close friend. He always knew that on a one-on-one level, he could really make a positive difference in people's lives. Recently, Dan and his wife started Desert Dan's TRIKKEs after a visit to Trikke Tech. Inc. After meeting with the company's Top 2 executives, he attended Trikke Academy, where he achieved a rare Level 3 Certified Trainer status. Dan admits that his TRIKKE training client is responsible for achieving results, and that it takes discipline and determination. But Dan's techniques soften the blow by making training fun, challenging, and a bit different each time.
