I have owned one of these Ultralite Personal Transporters (UPT) since August 2010. It is by far, the smartest, most economical and coolest vehicle ever. I can ride the bike paths here on the Vineyard and I must say, I have no trouble negotiating traffic while in Boston or Cambridge.
The Trikke has two speed settings and dual rear disk brakes. I'm addicted to its intuitive ride. It turns on a dime and give you a nickel back! The "wow" factor of passers by is also adoring - it just goes. The other MAJOR factor is that you do not have to use the "juice" to make it go. You'll get a full body exercise rocking & rolling the Trikke UPT. I like to mix it up, using the throttle to augment my body & maintain speed to maximize battery life. This device is way ahead of the curve and has competitors in this market beat. Remember: if the battery quits you can still get home.

What's great about it: It's fast, it'll go far, it looks cool, & I'm the first on my block

What's not so great: I don't as yet have any body to play with
