TRIKKE LAUNCHES THE NEW “T5 JOGO” AT A TIME WHEN THE NEED FOR A FUN FITNESS VEHICLE STRIKES A CHORD WITH PARENTS AND TEACHERS THAT WANT TO HELP TURN THE TIDE ON OBESITY. Santa Barbara, CA. July 15, 2011 Trikke Tech is re-launching its kids’ carving vehicle - the “T5 Jogo” with a new, cool look for the younger set, in a bid to “encourage kids to move.” The T5 Jogo helps kids enjoy a really fun, physical activity while building confidence in agility, balance and coordination. The stable, three-wheeled design allows kids 4-8 years of age feel secure while riding, whether they are kicking around the neighborhood scooter-style, or propelling via the fluid, Trikke carving motion. The addition of a new fairing gives the vehicle more body and presence. The T5 has been awarded both the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award and The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval. Stable and well-built, the T5 Jogo offers a whole new set of skills that can be learned relatively quickly. The unique, carving-propulsion activity utilizes all the major muscle groups and develops cardiovascular fitness. Plus, it is an activity that a kid can do for his or her entire life. President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, both use the Trikke as their favorite form of exercise and they are in their mid 80s. “We‘re very excited to leverage what we have learned over the years from moms, dads and educators alike. Fitness is as important for kids, if not more important, than it is for adults,” commented John Simpson, Trikke’s CEO. “We have worked hard to bring the price down so that more families can afford their child’s first Trikke.” With childhood obesity levels at an all-time high, the search is on for fun activities that capture children’s imaginations and work out their quickly developing bodies, building strength and giving them the cardiovascular exercise that they need. “If you can get kids active at a young age, doing something they love - that’s a huge win for the kids, the families and the society as a whole. The students in my PE classes love the Trikke,” said George Velarde, Director of Physical Education at Sierra Vista Jr High in Canyon Country, CA. Mr Velarde recently counseled the US Congress on how he approaches fitness with his students and was awarded a Gold Medal from the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. Trikke’s T5 Jogo will retail for less than $100 at most retailers. The handlebars are adjustable so that the product can grow with the child, and Trikke has other models to fit bigger children and adults alike. About Trikke Tech Inc.
