WHAT'S NEW

T8air 2008

The 2008 T8 Air is the ultimate ride for all around utility. It is more portable than the T12 Roadster, but equipped with the much sought-after air-filled tires for better hill climbing and smooth travel over varied terrain. The 2008 model also comes equipped with custom fenders, handlebars and animal-free leather grips. The T8 Air allows the same sticky ride as the T12 so that you can throw all of your energy into your turns, but at 20 pounds can easily be tossed into your trunk or carried up stairs, onto the subway or through a café. It looks like it could be the best iteration yet of the Ultimate Fun-Fitness Machine.

WHAT'S NEW

SKKI

Bye Bye Boot Pain, Hello Free Ride! The Skki is equipped with custom, shaped skis and generous foam-padded handlebars; you only need to grab the handlebars and lean them in the direction of the turn you want to carve. It is easy to share with your friends or family because there are no bindings that need to be set to your particular boot size, and one size fits ages 13 and up! It is also very easy to walk up hills or on the flats – just walk between the foot platforms! Plus, no more ski-boot pain: any durable, waterproof boots should work. Just step on the knobby, dished foot platforms and let her rip! The skis are easily removed for transport, and the entire machine comes pre-packed in a custom carry bag that can be worn like a back-pack or carried by the shoulder strap. Not heavy either, the entire package only weighs 34 lbs. It is much easier to learn than skiing or snowboarding. Feel the control of skiing with handlebars. Feel the freedom of riding without bindings. Feel something really new and really fun!

SKKI TRIKKE - FAKRO Cup 2008

Trikke Poland hosted in association with “Fakro” the 2nd Trikke Skki World Championships.

Trikke SKKI riders

The race weekend took place in the little village of Muszyna in the south-east of Poland. The race was held in the village of Krynicka on the slopes of  Jaworzyna. The weekend started on Thursday and the first rides where on Friday. Friday morning the novice riders had their first lessons and all fell in love with this new riding platform. The Trikke Skki made them feel secure and in control. So most of them signed in to also compete with the experienced riders on Saturday.

The experienced Trikke Skki racers spent their morning on the “Trikke Skki Track” in the forests around Muszyna. In these woods the Fakro company has created a downhill track, that is similar to the boarder- or ski-cross know already from the Winter Olympics 2006. This track in Poland is however natural, with sharp turns, jumps, s-curves and a lot possibilities to take over. Racing so close together felt like racing in the touring car championships and this tracks has opened our eyes for a perfect future racing discipline on the Skki!

What's a Cambering Vehicle?

Trikke (pronounced trike)
Trikke three-wheeled cambering vehicles are human powered machines that utilize Trikke Tech’s patented 3CV technology to allow a rider to propel a chainless, pedal-less device forward without ever touching foot to ground. This elegantly simple construct provides a stable 3-point platform that leans into the turn with the rider while all three wheels remain in contact with the ground. A rider may reach speeds of up to 18 mph on flat ground, ride 50 miles in one day, and climb the steepest of hills (with practice!).Trikke’s design allows the rider to naturally engage his entire body throughout the ride. Legs are active for balancing and shock-absorption and arms punch for power-thrusts and hang on for stability and control. The Trikke 3-wheeler allows you, the rider, to feel the miracle of your own body and mind working in graceful unison. The bi-products of the ride are joy, health, fitness and a renewed appreciation for yourself and your life.

New Trikke Record in Italy!

New Trikke record is set by riding 627 km (390 miles) non stop

In Genoa, Italy the new world record of long distance riding on a Trikke 3-wheeler is set!

The rider's name is Christian Beni, he is 32 years old and started carving Trikke-style 2 years ago. After his first rides he knew he was hooked for life. The feeling of riding hisTrikke 3-wheeler had touched his soul.

He mainly rode for fun and fitness and loved it so much he wanted to share the experience with the rest of Italy. He started in Genova where he participated in benefit events, such as a benefit day dedicated to fight cancer in Porto Antico(neuroblastoma.org) During these events visitors could try out several Trikke models. The money earned went to the funds. The event visitors found serenity and big fun in the unique Trikke movement. After several events the local TV stations broadcasted him and the Trikke 3-wheelers in several shows. His TV performance triggered the newspaper journalists and soon he and his unique 3-wheeler were legendary.

In August 2006 he started his biggest challenge so far. He decided to set a personal and World Guinness record by riding 627 km (390 miles) non stop from Genova to Rome. He called this trip the “Genova-Rome No Limits”

Of course the idea alone got a lot of attention from the media, several newspapers such as Il Corriere, Mercantile and Il Secolo XIX published articles about his record attempt. Next to that Telegenova filmed his trip and Radio Babboleo called him during his trip for live updates.

On the 14th of August he started in Genova and finished 41 hours later in Rome. After each short break he switched, from a Trikke 8 Air to a Trikke 8 PU and then finishing with a Trikke 12 Roadster. His average speed was 17 km/h (10.5 mph)

We congratulate him with this amazing performance and with his world record!

In 2007 Christian will try to set a new world record by riding his Trikke 3-wheeler for 1000 km (620 miles) from Genova to Paris!

We wish him the best of luck in his challenge to set this incredible record.
